The Ruthenberg-Marshall Law Firm is excited to introduce our new Unbundled Legal Services. These are reduced fee, limited scope services designed to bridge the access to justice gap for clients who cannot afford traditional, full representation but also do not qualify for pro bono services.
Our Unbundled Legal Services (ULS) are available in contested divorce, legitimation, modification, and contempt cases. In ULS, clients represent themselves but have an attorney working with them in the background to help them with their case. The attorney can give advice, help prepare documents, draft pleadings for the client, and work on settlement negotiations. The client decides how much work the attorney will perform, enabling the client to save money when the client does not need an attorney’s help.
There are no income requirements for Unbundled Legal Services; however, each client must complete a Family Law Workshop in Cobb, DeKalb , Fulton, Griffin Circuit (Fayette, Pike, Spaulding, Upson), or Henry Counties. The Family Law Workshop is a free hour and a half monthly seminar covering the basics of pro se representation (representing yourself).
